NATS has been working on developing a trail network in Dorset Vermont. We now have over 3 miles of amazing single track which has been the work of the NATS Trail crew, a dedicated volunteer workforce. Our single track is winding and flows with the terrain. We are working on the side of a mountain so there is some climbing but the trails ride well both up and down hill. Our trails are on private land and we take great care to maintain our trails and keep riders on the designated trail in consideration of our landowners generosity in allowing the public to access their land.
Our expanding trail network
Our latest project is a 3.9 mile trail up the side of Netop Mountain in the Dorset Hollow off of Grouse Lane. This is our first project on US Forest Service land and construction will begin in July of 2016.
Grouse Lane work site: Grouse Lane is located in Dorset Vermont off of Tower Road which is off of the Lower Hollow Road. Once you pull onto Grouse lane stay left and follow the road for approximately 2/10th of a mile. You will see a sign for Forest Service Parking - follow the road to the clearing where you can park. DO NOT PARK ON GROUSE LANE OR IN THE PRIVATE DRIVE. FOLLOW THE SIGN TO THE FOREST SERVICE PARKING AREA.
